Patience is essential for landing major sponsorships. Andre from Toyota shared the example of Steve Torrence, who approached Toyota about four times over seven or eight years before they finally partnered. During that time, Steve made himself present, demonstrated how he could be an ambassador, and showed his value as a potential partner. The relationship eventually led to a successful partnership and Steve became a world champion. As Andre explained, 'It didn't happen overnight, it didn't happen over a season. It didn't happen over a year.' Major companies like Toyota are looking for long-term partnerships, not quick sponsorship deals.
